Easter is coming up soon, and we’ve got some fun activities planned at the Christchurch Tram and Christchurch Gondola for our youngest visitors!
EASTER BUNNY HUNT – 3 & 4 April 2026
Join us at the Christchurch Gondola on 3 & 4 April 2026 for our annual Easter Bunny Hunt! Kids can grab an Easter Bunny Hunt form from our reception team at the Base Station, find the bunnies and letters hidden around the Summit Station complex, and unscramble the Easter word to exchange their completed form for an Easter treat!
The Christchurch Gondola will be open 10am – 5pm daily over Easter (including no surcharge in our Red Rock Cafe on Good Friday or Easter Monday)
EASTER BUNNY VISIT – 4 April 2026
We’ll have a very special long-eared visitor to the Christchurch Tram over Easter weekend! Keep an eye out for the Easter Bunny hopping on and off our tramcars between 10am and 1pm on Saturday 4 April 2026 with some chocolatey Easter treats for children on board.
You can also pop in to the Booking Office at Tram Stop 1 in Cathedral Junction between 3-9 April 2026 to guess how many Easter eggs are in the jar at our reception desk: the closest guess will win the lot!
The Christchurch Tram will be operating 8:30am – 6pm daily over Easter, with the last tram departing from Cathedral Junction at 5:50pm.
