Booked this as part of a combo package with Christchurch attractions and really enjoyed it. I went around the entire loop once to get familiar with where everything was and then did the hop on hop off thing. Super easy and convenient and the tram drivers are friendly and funny. Great way to see Christchurch!

Did a trip last week on the Tram and although a local that walks around the CBD every few months and a past tour guide in the city myself, I would recommend even to locals to support this operation and sit back and enjoy a different perspective. I was impressed with both the guides I had (changed over en-route) and the up-to-date commentary. It was not too long or detailed to be off-putting or distractive to the viewing, but a good balance. Questions were answered in a professional manner likewise, and attractions not actually on-route but nearby covered as well. Compliments to the staff.

A great way to get around to all the sights. I would recommend that you start early in the day as your ticket is valid for the whole day. There are so many places to Hop On/Hop Off. The Tram Conductors and Drivers were great happy people and full of information and assistance. Christchurch is a beautiful but tragic place. The empty building lots are numerous still after so many years after the earthquake. Wherever is an empty space is where a office building once stood. The rebuilding is incredible and going on the Tram you are likely to not miss a thing

Yesterday a group of 12 of us on a reunion weekend travelled on the tram. Some of us live in ChCh, the rest were from all over NZ. The drivers were humorous, informative and entertaining. Its a great way to see the city in 50 minutes or to hop on and off all day
