Event Dining with a Difference: Group Options on our Iconic Tramway Restaurant

From dinners and lunches to breakfasts and high teas, the Tramway Restaurant offers a variety of services ideal for group dining while seeing the sights of central Christchurch.

Our immaculately restored 1920s tramcar is New Zealand’s only dining tram and travels through the city centre while guests are treated to premium local cuisine and attentive service. This unique experience will add a special touch to any event, making it one to remember.

Dinner Service

Four-course menu package including a welcome drink and tea or coffee. A wine pairing option is also available. Choose from the private hire of the whole tram seating up to 36 people, or private hire of one of the two seating sections seating 12 or 24 people.

Duration 2-2.5 hours | Departs 7:30pm daily (excluding public holidays)

High Tea Service

High Tea dining package includes finger sandwiches, scone, and sweet treats served with tea or coffee in vintage china.
