If you are looking for a special dinner when visiting Christchurch this is a must. 2.5hrs on the tram enjoying an amazing 4 course meal. Do the wine match its so worth it. Staff and service excellent.

My husband surprised me with this wonderful meal and city tour on the Tram Restaurant. The staff are welcoming and friendly, the foods delicious and the Trams been lovingly restored. The whole experience was very enjoyable, thank you.
Christchurch Tramway Restaurant will take you on a tour of Christchurch’s inner suburbs while you dine. The air-conditioned vintage tram is New Zealand’s only tramway’s restaurant. It’s colonial style interior houses a restaurant and full bar. The trip takes around two-and-a-half hours. The three-course winter menu features local produce and matching wines, and a welcoming drink. For winter, main courses are a choice between roast free range pork, rack of lamb and market fish. Vegetarian options are available; the tramways restaurant is vegan friendly. Full table service is provided. The trip on this 36 seat dining tram is a wonderful experience, not to be missed if you are in Christchurch.
