We love Punting On The Avon it was a high light for us visiting Christchurch. The young guys that we running the Punting were very professional and knowledgeable also well dressed for the job. We all got pure wool blankets to keep toasty while making our way up the river. Thanks to all the team. :)

We went punting as part of our City Pass. We had a boat all to ourselves so we were able to chat with the punter which was very nice. He gave us some incite into living and teaching in Christchurch. It was a cloudy day and a little cool but we were offered a blanket which kept us warm. It was a fun way to see some of the city from a different perspective, and very relaxing. The ride was only about 30 minutes long - which it had been longer!

I thought this was going to be nothing special when I booked it but I was wrong. First we called the morning of to book a spot later in the day. When we arrived we greeted and checked in. We had a full punt and the weather was lovely. What made the experience so great was the guide that lead us down the river, he not only tells you the history of some of the city and the river but also some of the wild life and plants as you past by.
