This tour departs from the Worcester Bridge in the heart of the city and travels through the Avon River Precinct past the site of Christchurch’s Te Pae convention centre, Victoria Square, restored Town Hall and popular Margaret Mahy Playground. View various art pieces and memorials in and around the river, trailing riverside willow trees and drift through the picturesque Poplar Stretch with mature poplar trees flanking the river.

What you need to know
Please ensure that you arrive at the correct location for your punt ride. Tickets booked for the Worcester Bridge Punting site are valid at 75 Worcester Boulevard.
Please note that tickets are only valid for the time selected when booking.
The Worcester Bridge Punting site punts can seat up to 6 people. Punt tours from this location depart from the Worcester Bridge and end at Victoria Square. Punting on the Avon suits all ages. We supply blankets, umbrellas and waterproof blankets to keep you warm and dry during inclement weather.
You enter and leave the punt by stepping on to a secure platform, and please note that punts are low to the ground. Dress warmly on the day you go punting and wear comfortable shoes.
Please note that children are classed as being from 5-15 years and must be accompanied by a paying adult for safety reasons. All infants aged under 5 years must be seated next to an adult in the punt.
